The dune-like installation (5 meter hight and 7 meters diameter) consists of shredded bank notes. Following an agreement with the Central Bank of Cyprus, shredded Cypriot pounds were collected in January 2008 when the country entered the Eurozone. The work which represents the whole wealth of the Island at this transitional moment comments on the charged historical moment and the specific symbolic value of the cypriot currency.

"At QVC, the television shopping channel, traffic and viewers rise around noon, then quiet down until..."

“At QVC, the television shopping channel, traffic and viewers rise around noon, then quiet down until after 7 p.m. Then items like cosmetics and accessories sell briskly. “Call them girl treats — they seem to attract a really strong following once you get past dinnertime,” said Doug Rose, senior vice president for multichannel programming and marketing for the company. “You can probably come to your own conclusion as to what’s motivating her.””

- Online Retailers Home In on a New Demographic - The Drunken Consumer

Have we really turned our backs on Beauty?
The changing of the seasons always seems to inspire me above a threshold that will actually spur some movement when it comes to creativity. Writing, photography, music, whatever it may be, it’s all easier. The change into Fall has always been the best season for this. The most spurring.

Perhaps it’s because I love the clear blue skies with lingering chill, or perhaps it’s because the inevitable layers of clothing that one has to put on feels like a comforting shell. Not sure on this one. But alas, another season, another birthday draws near, another break to focus on the in.

Motivation is cyclical, and I need to harness this power.

How can this even be real?

How can this even be real?

Green Cathedral by Marinus Boezem.

Green Cathedral by Marinus Boezem.

Oh Midtown, your cotton candy looks delicious

Oh Midtown, your cotton candy looks delicious

My Peeps!

My Peeps!

Patio Revival

Patio Revival

The Village, Pedro Sousa

The Village, Pedro Sousa

No, no, no.

No, no, no.

Happy Pride, Toronto!

Happy Pride, Toronto!
